The GMS(S) Symphonic Band is an integral part of school life at GMS(S) with annual school performances such as the Little Night Concerts and National Day Parades. Performing a repertoire ranging from marches, to pop music, hymns and classics, there is no doubt of the Band’s versatility. The Band also attained the Certificate of Accomplishment at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of Concert Bands over the past years and achieved the Bronze Award at the Singapore National Band Competition in 2016. However the Band achieved its first Certificate of Distinction at SYF, making 2017 an especially momentous year for its members.
